Get an Up Close Look at the Interplay of EV
Technology and Grid Innovation
Rapid advances in EVs and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies are a promising pathway to help balance the grid and increase the capacity for renewable energy. Those benefits require a great deal of collaboration among the technology providers, car manufactures, utilities, charging network operators and regulators. Grid Forward will bring together expert stakeholders to provide a snapshot of where the integration of EVs and the grid can provide value and how we can all move together to that vision.
The program features speakers at organizations including Portland General Electric, National Grid, Black & Veatch, NV Energy, Nuvve, US DOE, Daimler, NextEra and other industry leaders working on how the electric grid accommodates the wave of EVs coming onto the system. Grid Forward members receive one registration pass for the symposium. Additional registrations, interested industry professionals, and guests are encouraged to attend.
Grid Forward is excited to announce that as part of the Symposium Accelerating Grid Modernization with EV’s, it has secured tickets to the 2023 Southwire Portland E-Prix for Symposium attendees, where they can take in the action from the world’s premier electric racing series only race in North America this year
This racing series is an exciting showcase of cutting-edge technology and innovation in electric vehicles. Join in our event and get close to the action! Colleagues, family and friends are welcome to join the race. Please confirm your race ticket by June 9th. Grid Forward is coordinating with the group joining the race together.
The Grid Forward Annual Meeting will be broadcast for virtual participation, however the Accelerating Grid Modernization with EVs summit will be in-person only. The Annual Meeting and Summit will be held in downtown Vancouver WA at the AC Marriott Hotel. The FormulaE race is being held at Portland International Raceway.
Pre-registration is required.
The Grid Innovator Awards, hosted annually by Grid Forward, honored individuals and organizations for their exemplary roles in helping to lead the electric utility industry forward in grid modernization across the western U.S.
Grid Forward’s meeting in 2022 coincided with the annual education conference of the Western Conference of Public Service Commissioners. Grid Forward members gathered in person and online to share updates, elect board members, catch up with our fellow members and celebrate the third annual Grid Innovation Awards.
The event featured remarks from Pat Hoffman, Head of the New Office of Grid Infrastructure, U.S. Department of Energy.
Congratulations to the 2022 Grid Innovators of the year including Holy Cross Energy, Generac, and Jennie Potter.
