The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture is a central organization in the implementation of funds from the recent federal legislation for energy infrastructure. Over $10 billion in resources are going through USDA to advance the grid. Click here for a one-page overview >

Join agency leaders to hear about how these funds are going to get to the industry. The central program in the funds is $9.7 billion from section 22004 — Empowering Rural America (New ERA) Program — of the Inflation Reduction Act to support cooperative utilities in bringing lower carbon energy resources onto their systems. The funds will be available soon, so all organizations who can help support coops should be preparing to leverage this once-in-a-generation opportunity, especially when aligned to treasury direct pay incentives.

Grid Forward and NWPPA will host USDA officials
Come learn more about this historic opportunity for rural electrification directly from these officials at the USDA’s Rural Utilities Service.
Clare Sierawski, Senior Energy Counselor
