In intimate one-day sessions, small groups collaborate on solutions for pressing regional challenges
Grid Forward is excited to announce a new service for our members: Forward Focus Workshops. This series of day-long, deep-dive sessions, each hosted by a utility member, is designed to accelerate progress on issues and opportunities facing a specific region. Roll your sleeves up and build solutions for today and tomorrow in a Forward Focus workshop in your area. Hosted quarterly, you can get involved by contacting executive director and CEO, Bryce Yonker email@example.com.
The general format of the workshop is built around a topic selected by a utility member who serves as the host of the meeting. Grid Forward then works closely with the host to invite participants from within our membership who are peers working to progress solutions in that space as well as content experts in that field. Initial sessions in 2019 will focus on expanding electrification opportunities; getting value from AMI infrastructure; and investing in system resiliency: Portland General Electric, Avista and EWEB will be our first hosts. Watch for 2020 topics and hosts will be selected later in the year.
Meetings are invitation only from among the membership based on qualifications and experience in the topic area. Most discussions will have 20-30 participants and will last from three to six hours in duration. No information shared in the meeting is for attribution outside of the discussion. Hosts and contributors interested in sharing lessons and resources on the topics may work with Grid Forward to share summaries with a wider distribution of our audience.
If you are a utility member and may be interested in hosting a discussion, please contact Grid Forward CEO Bryce Yonker at firstname.lastname@example.org
